Welcome and Thank You For Taking Your Time To Look Around!

My name is Cassandra Laurenzo and I recently returned from a 5 week trip to Ghana, Africa in November 2007.

I volunteered as a teacher at a school in the suburbs of Accra (the countries capital city) called Golden Era International School.  Started by an accountant by the name of Charles Aboagye, the school is now nearly 1/3 of the way of being completely constructed.  In operation today, the school serves approximately 250 students ranging from creche (1-3 year olds) all the way to Junior Secondary School 3 (equivalent to the U.S. 8th grade) with future plans to service Senior Secondary School (U.S. grades 9-12).

Poverty is known to be in place in most African countries and unfortunately we can't fix it all.  But in the mean time we CAN do something small and that's what this site is about!

In the first step towards bettering the lives in hunger and poverty stricken children, this site is dedicated to bringing information to those interested in taking a small amount of their time and money to COMPLETELY CHANGE A CHILD'S LIFE!

Please feel free to check out the website and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to email at any time!

Thank you again and let's make a difference!
